More money is going into venture than ever, yet fewer rounds are getting done. Capital is concentrating in a smaller group of companies, and fewer seed-stage startups are making it to a Series A. For founders, a good product is no longer enough. You need to know how to position the company so it lands in that smaller group.

Itxaso del Palacio, General Partner at Notion Capital in London, is visiting Barcelona. We're hosting her for an intimate lunch with a small group of founders to talk openly about today's funding environment.

Over lunch we'll cover:

  • Where the money is going. Why total venture funding is rising while the number of rounds keeps falling, and what that concentration means for early-stage companies.

  • The seed to Series A gap. Why so few seed companies are graduating to a Series A, and what separates the ones that do.

  • What investors are looking for now. The signals a partner at a top European fund weighs when deciding which companies to back.

  • Building a compelling story. How to show that your company is unique, differentiated, and defensible, and how to tell that story in a way that captures funding.

Who it's for

This lunch is for founders only. It's aimed at founders who have raised a pre-seed or seed round and are thinking about their next raise. Seats are limited and every application is reviewed to keep the group small and the conversation useful.

Lunch is on us.
